Two reasons.
1. You cannot do anything with an iPhone useing an mPower, you need an
apex for this.
2. Texting, or any other functions of the phone, are not done through
the bn, they are done through the phone. The apex can act as a braille
terminal, so what Voiceover (the screen reader on the iPhone) says is
displayed in braille and braille entered on the bn is used by the
iPhone. Sending a text message, for instance, is done on the phone;
you could write the message on the phone using the apex's keyboard,
but all actual functions of texting are on the phone itself. This is
what is known as using the apex as a "braille terminal" and it has tha
major advantage that any accessible app on the iPhone will work
alongside the apex.
