Hi,
There are two ways of initiating this connection: either first connecting to the web via other programs such as email and web browser and then launching KeyChat, or with no connection to Internet yet, you can just launch KeyChat and answer on which connection to use. After connecting to the web first, it'll connect to the chat server. And to clarify: any service that uses XMPP for chat mechanism (Google Talk , Jabbar and such) will work on KeyChat - no AIM accounts, no Windows Live yet and so forth.
Cheers,
Joseph

What I meant was that when you
connected to the web you would
be connected to keychat
without having to do it your
self.

Excellent, Jessica, except for
one thing, the auto-connect
thing is
not for when you connect to
the web, but rather keychat.
To add to the
list of supported im services,
jabber does work with it.
Best,
Josh

The only service I know for
sure that works for keychat
is
gmail. It has email to but
you
could just make an account
with an email address and not
give out that address if you
did not want to use it for
email and you just wanted to
use it for keychat. In the
keychat settings on your bn
you would put your user name
as your gmail address. The
password is the password you
made for your gmail account.
Auto connect is for if you
want to be automatically
signed in to keychat when you
connect to the internet or
not. It is a personal choice.
The host server is
talk.google.com and the host
server port is 5222.

Hi everyone. I'd like to
know
what instant messaging
service
works with keychat. I have
AOL and tried to use keychat
with my
AOL email and password and it
didn't work. Does AOL work
with
Keychat? Am I doing something
wrong? Any other
recommendations?
Is there a service that
offers
just instant messaging, but
no
email? Thanks for any help.

Homero
