Hi Michelle,
Welcome back to the list! To answer your question, if the file is
in .doc format, the Apex can read it. However, DOCX
unfortunately still can't be read on the Apex without converting
it to some other format. Hope this helps!

Subject: [Braillenote] Reading Documents in Word 2007 or Higher
Hi listers. For those of you who don't remember me, my name is
Michele Thredgold. I have been on and off the list at different
times but I'm back now with a new BrailleNote APEX, which I've
had since December, and which I adore. It's great to be back and
I extend my warmest regards to you all, those whom I've met on
list and those whom I haven't.
Now to my question: does Keysoft 9,2 allow one to read documents
in Word 20007 and up? I had a couple of documents in forms of
Word higher than 2003 and wasn't sure whether my APEX was
equipped to open them? I definitely have the latest version of
Keysoft.
Thanks.
Cheers!
Michele
