Hf,
I see. While that message is being displayed, on the right-most two cells, do you see some kind of a percentage indicator? If it shows two-digig value (without number sign) and just sits there for more than a minute, then its something that we might have to sort with HW tech support.
Cheers,
Joseph

The only message that displays is the "Start Keysoft" one . I have tried the reset holding it in for 5 seconds and also the reset while holding in the JKL keys and it still is not working. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Mary Anne

Hi,
So you don't see KeySoft version and you're not placed in Main
Menu? Do you see any kind of message (apart from "starting
keysoft") when you perform a reset, something to the effect of
resets or something similar? If so, then its some disk error. If
you do see keysoft version message and keyboard is not
responding, then try as Alex suggested - press reset button for
more than five semonds until a beep is heard. If that reset
doesn't help, then try JKL reset (assuming you have a QT).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Apex Locked up

My Apex has locked up. Two days ago I had an alarm set for a
scheduled
appointment , I turned on the Apex to cancel the alarm and it
spoke Read the
Alarm but would not let me arrow down or press the enter key. I
tried
resetting it using the reset button and it beeped, then instead
of resetting
and announcing the Keysoft version, it gave me a bong noise, then
if a key
is pressed it gives a Bing sound instead of reading the letter.
That is the
only sound it will make. I tried removing the battery and
replacing it, it
went through the same process and will still only do the Bing
noise. I
removed the battery and left it out for almost 48 hours then
replaced it and
it is still doing the same thing. Any suggestions would be
greatly
appreciated.

Thanks
Mary Anne
