Josh,

Yes absolutely. An SDK was talked about for years, but never materialized. It's a shame, really, because boy, a lot more power could be packed into this little device should the platform ever be opened up.

Hello,

There are no third party apps, as the developer of this device,
Humanware, hasn't allowed companies to make or release them yet.
Best,
Josh

Ruchi and all,

Another resource to download interactive fiction games, with a
little more guidance, is called Baf's Guide to the Interactive
Fiction Archive. ?he address is as
follows:http://www.wurb.com/if/

There are also two titles included with every BrailleNote, Winter Wonderland and Dragon Adventure, that are designed especially for
children. ?ames are simply files, so you can easily transfer
titles to the BrailleNote by copying the appropriate files to the
'My Games' folder of the Flash Disk through any normal means.
?he BrailleNote will only play text adventure games written in
z-code, and the game files will have a.z5 or .z8 extension. ?'m
not sure really how engaging young children would find these
games as they are completely text based and involve a lot of
reading, but it never hurts to give it a go. ?o play a game,
simply open the 'Games' application from the main menu, and press SPACE to browse through the files in the 'My Games' folder. ?he
games I mentioned will be called winter.z5 and dragon.z5.

Apart from the text adventures, there aren't huge numbers of
games that can be played on BrailleNotes. ?nother gentleman on
this list, Alex Hall, has written a few accessible games that can
be played in the BrailleNote's web browser. ? am sure he will
jump in and tell you where you might be able to get those games.

Finally, there's a hidden Tetris game included on BrailleNotes.
?izarrely, it's under Utilities, Key Management. ?o play it,
select "Enter a new product key" and type the word playtime
followed by ENTER. ?he game then comes up and there's a help
menu to walk you through the user interface, but I'm not familiar
enough with Tetris to tell you how to play it.

Cheers,

Grant
