Hi Sharon and everyone,

The email from Humanware was announcing that their Brailliant Braille displays are now supported by iOS 5.1. The Apex mention was about the Brailliant having the same responsive Braille display loved by Apex users. For your information, I have pasted the email from Humanware below:

A Winning Combination

Apple just announced a new iOS version for their line of iDevices. This new iOS version brings new excitement and new features, along with new support for HumanWare's Brailliant braille displays. After updating
your iDevice to version 5.1, wirelessly connect your iDevice to a
HumanWare Brailliant display and take advantage of the sleek design, high quality braille cells, and ergonomic keyboard and thumb keys that have been adored by BrailleNote Apex users. Whether you are using a new
Brailliant braille display, or a BrailleNote Apex,
                                control your
iDevice with the braille input keys, read messages, emails, or iBooks,
and type responses or documents in contracted or uncontracted
braille, all without the touch screen of the iDevice.

Brailliant braille displays come in 32, 40, or 80 cell models.

Hi, I thought I saw something about this from Humanware today however since I don't use an IPhone I didn't really take notice of it. I'm pretty sure it was talking about their braille displays working with the new apple platform and apex was also mentioned. I have deleted the message and I have gone looking for it on the internet with no luck so sorry I can't be more help.

From Shaz.
BN QT Apex and PK user.

| Rick and list. While on some level I understand the message Rick
| wrote a few days ago, if you have a BT then you don't know that
| there is a problem with the new release. I updated my IPhone 4s
| Wednesday when it came out and after seeing Rick's email about
| how the update may have broken QT input, I decided to try it
| since I hadn't yet. So far from the little I used it I do not
| believe there is a problem. At least not with controlling my my
| 4s with my apex QT. I am having another issues but I am not
| certain yet what is the culprit. Mot people on this list have
| bts and I am very behind on my mail write now. If other QT
| owners have commented and found there to be an issue that is one
| thing. HW didn't comment because there isn't an issue.
