Hi, Richard,

I usually keep my braille display on my lap. That's what I did when I had my Apex qwerty.

When I had my Apex qwerty, the terminal function was broken. All of the WindowEyes hot keys didn't work except the ones for panning the display. I don't know if HumanWare has fixed the qwerty model. I don't know if WindowEyes will work with the bt model. But there is a WindowEyes hot key which allows you to have the braille display track either the focus cursor or the mouse cursor. It is called "Braille Tracking toggle." If you have it set to track the mouse, you can use the mouse keyboard commands and the braille display will follow the mouse. You can use the cursor routing keys to click the mouse.

Subject: [Braillenote] basic questions

Hi;
I am considering an apex among other choices and have a very basic question or two. Firstly, I will primarily be using the unit as a braille display and the note taker is a bonus. How folks arranged things to have easy access to the PC keyboard? With the display I am currently using, the keyboard is placed on top of the display unit and the braille is basically below the keyboard. I will need to operate things from the keyboard primarily as opposed to using the braille note for input. Secondly can the braille note be set to move the display with the mouse pointer rather than the arrow keys?Thanks
