Writing the letters dg or spelling out the word degrees should be
fine in most circumstances. For the true degrees sign when using
USA English Braille, you'll have to temporarily switch to
computer Braille with BACKSPACE and J; think of this as "grade
zero." Then do an ENTER with I for the Insert menu and U for a
unicode character. Then type "degree sign," hit ENTER, and you'll
be in a list of characters with the character that matches the
label you entered as the selected one. Press ENTER to insert this
character. Alternatively, press SPACE with K when focussed on
that character, to assign it to a keystroke, so you won't have to
go through all this again.
When using UEB, the degrees symbol is simply DOTS 4-5, then DOTS
2-4-5. However, I am not totally clear as to how this symbol gets
back translated when you print or Email or save the document in a
text format, because the BrailleNote sometimes just spells out
the words when translating UEB mathematical symbols.
Hope this helps,
