Hi Grant,

I have the same problem when I try to fill out Humanware's form for the authorization of NLS BARD books. I called Humanware tech support, who told me to refresh the page, which I did, and it worked. However, I had a technical problem with my BrailleNote a few days later, which caused me to do a factory reset, in turn causing me to lose the KXO file they sent me. So I tried it again. The same problem occurred; that is, the links and form fields didn't show up. I refreshed the page, but this time it still didn't work. So, all I can figure is Humanware has some kind of power to make things work when users are on the phone with them, but not work when a user isn't on the phone with Humanware, even if that user follows the same process Humanware tech support themselves told them to do when the user was on the phone with them! * Smile!

As someone who has experienced this before, I don't really know what to tell you to do. If you call Humanware, they're probably going to say "Just refresh the page." But if your luck is anything like mine, the next time it happens on the Humanware site and you try a refresh, it won't work; not unless you're on the phone with Humanware! * Sigh! The only thing I can think of is to try downloading it from the program library on www.braillenoteusers.info. The direct link, actually, is braillenoteusers.info/utilities. I can't guarantee that this will work either, so let us know if it does. This is a very frustrating, and a very ironic problem, since Humanware makes the BrailleNote, so it would only make sense that their Web site would be the most accessible on their own machines!

Subject: [Braillenote] Humanware website inaccessible on the BrailleNoteApex?

Hi all,

I have a rather odd question. Today I went to download the
Concise Oxford English Dictionary and thesaurus from the
following web page.
http://support.humanware.com/en-us/support/braillenote_apex/softw
are/optional_applications. Since I didn't have my PC handy, I
decided to give it a go on the Apex.

The page loads, but the Apex doesn't detect the links on this
page! That means that the website is unusable on the Apex.

What do you guys make of this - is my Apex simply acting funny,
or are a number of you having problems with the Humanware website
as well?

Best,

Grant
