Good Day:
Provided you have bluetooth turned on on the Mac, you actually want to
go to the VoiceOver utility and select the Braille category from the table.
This will bring up a dialog with two tabs: Layout and Displays. Select the
Displays tab, and then select the Add button. Provided the bluetooth on the
Mac is on and discoverable (see the bluetooth system preferences), the Mac will
search for braille displays. Once it has found the BrailleNote, it will put it
in the table, usually as Apex, followed by the last six digits of your
BrailleNote's serial number. Select the select button, and in the secure edit
box that appears, type the pin 0000. For more information on the procedure, I
would direct you to the Humanware BrailleNote support page under the manuals
section. There, you will find a guide called "Using BrailleNote Apex as a
braille display".
