Hi, I understand the situation and your points. However, cross-posting (posting to more than one mailing list at a time) is something that many mailing list owners discourage, as they have to sort out unnecessary emails later when trying to reply to an address that was never part of that email list. Also, I think just because a subject is computer-related or may seem relevant to you might not be relevant to the topics expected on a particular email list. Just a few pointers and email list courtesy. Thanks. As to the original subject: As Grant pointed out, iPhone is not a synchronization host. You can install iTunes on a future PC and tell it to sync contacts and calendar from Outlook to iPhone, then transfer the same lists from the PC to BrailleNote via ActiveSync/KeySync combo (which is quite a risky move, I think, given compatibility issue reports). As far as iOS and PC's relationship is concerned, a computer running iTunes considers Apple devices as just another sync partner, just like a PC with ActiveSync treats BrailleNote as a mobile synchronization partner. Besides, these three uses different database technologies and layout for storing things, hence answering an unasked question on why you cannot simply connect your iPhone to the BrailleNote and expect to copy music between the two. Cheers, Joseph

You can sync contacts and calendars between your PC and your BrailleNote by syncing both with Outlook on your PC: your PC acts as a kind of middleman. But you can't sync them if you don't have access to a PC. You have to use iTunes to sync the iPhone, and Windows Mobile Device Center or Active Sync in conjunction with KeySync to sync your BrailleNote. Let us know if you want more information on the above. You can of course, use your iPhone as a Braille display via Bluetooth. Do you also need details on setting that up? Basically, enter Braille Terminal mode on your BrailleNote and hit B for bluetooth. Then head to settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver, Braille, on your iPhone. The BrailleNote Apex should show up as a Braille display that you can connect to. On the iPhone, double tap it and enter the PIN code 0000 and choose the pair button. If it will work, then how do you set it up? ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a copy to the list as well.
