Hi everyone,
Here is a response I got from Humanware tech support about my problem with installing the BARD license file: From: Matthew Janusauskas [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 29, 2012 2:11 PM To: Chris Nusbaum Subject: RE: [CASE:85277] a problem when installing BARD license file Hello, You may want to try copying the key file to the root of an SD card or to the none folder of the flash disk and then pressing reset. I have the email from Humanware with the KXO file attached, which, according to their directions, I’m supposed to save to a flash drive, insert the flash drive into my BrailleNote, and do a soft reset. If the installation is successful, they say, the BrailleNote should say “1 valid license file installed” after the reboot is performed. However, it’s doing things a little backwards. When I inserted my flash drive into my BrailleNote, before I did the reset, my BrailleNote said “1 invalid license file not installed.” I hadn’t even done the reset yet! Thinking this was just a qwerk and it would work when I did the reset, I did the reset. After displaying the Keysoft version and build number, it took me back to the main menu, without saying anything at all about the license file being valid or invalid. Can anybody tell me how to fix this and install the license file? Thanks in advance, Chris Nusbaum ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
