Alana:

This does help.

I checked both the blue tooth and wireless eathernet settings and they were off, so we know now that this is not draining the battery.

What I'm going to do today is let the battery run down fully and give it a complete charge.

Then, we'll be starting from a full charge, and I'll be able to gauge things more accurately from there.

On another note, a number of folks have suggested that the "deep sleep" mode might be hard to get into and out of, so I'm going to forego that option for now until we get a better handle on things.

Thanks!

Hi,
Sorry, I don't know how to do that on the QT, but I know the BT equivalent commands. I will provide these so if someone had a BT keyboard previously, then changed to the QT, they might be able to help you better than I can.
1. Go to options menu, by pressing space with o.
2. Press c for the connectivity menu.
3. Press b for bluetooth, and you will receive the prompt, bluetooth on. Press y for yes or n for no.
To check for wireless setting (on or off):
1. Press the command to go to options menu, as previously mentioned.
2. Press c for connectivity.
3. Press w for wireless. Press y for yes or n for no.
Hope that helps.
Thanks.

Hi,
One thing, I suggest you make sure wireless and bluetooth are turned off.
I don't have a Qt, so I can't tell you how to put your unit in deep sleep
mode. It might be a good idea to remove any storage devices as well.

Good evening:

Yes, there is such a mode. Go to your utilities menu, then to the misc
option. Go down the list until you see deep sleep mode, then press y.
The next time you turn it off, it'll be in this mode, and when you
turn it back on, it'll reboot with a hardware reset.
Hth!

Hi, folks.

I had not used my Braille Note Apex QT32 all weekend, and was surprised
that, this morning, my battery percentage was down to 14%, after being at
about 60% or so late Friday afternoon when I turned the unit off.

Do I need to do something to reduce the drain on the battery even when the
unit is turned off?

I seem to recall something in my Braille Note Training about a "deep
sleep"

mode, but can't find how to get to that at least so far.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide on this issue.
