Hi,
I think, based on news that's floating around, the blame behind this saga
lies at unauthorized sites which reportedly converts illegal YouTube videos,
which, when viewed from Google's perspective, not right. At the moment,
Google is engaged in a number of indirect court battles over its mobile OS,
with Apple saying that Flash media is not right and this technology is being
phased out with HTML5 (a newer HTML standard which supports new audio, video
and other tags; right now, many use HTML4) taking its place. As of 2012, all
Windows cE based notetakings will not support HTML5 unless their browsers
are rewritten (highly unlikely), and Android based guys will support HTML5
based on browser rendering engine (the actual guy that decodes HTML tags to
be displayed to the user). Also, the rumor that there would not be any more
Windows CE based phones is partially correct: there would be some phones out
there which would still be based on Windows CE; however, Windows Phone 8 is
now based on the same core technology which powers your laptops and
desktops, since the hardware specs of phones now rivals that of low-end
netbooks (we now have a quad-core smartphones).
I'm sure this information is hard to digest now - but I'm sure there will
come a time when you'll see this in action. I'd like to end my thoughts on
this discussion by confidently declaring: the transition from proprietary
notetaking platform to wireless braille modules is well under way - I'm
personally glad that Apex has the right tools for this transition now. For
my thoughts on the transition, please right to me offlist.
Cheers,
Joseph

What do you mean we can't use online converters anymore? Why not?
is it a problem with youtube or a problem with the conversion sites?

Subject: [Braillenote] Youtube videos

Hi all. As we can't use online converters anymore, Is there another way to
convert youtube videos on the braillenote apex? If there's not, Do you know
how to contact a person in charge of youtube? I just want to complain about
this.
Thank you in advance.
Take care.
