Hi, Sounds like AC adapter issue. Make sure the AC adapter is firmly plugged into the Apex and the AC adapter cord is connected securely to the wall outlet. If AC adapter is not the problem, then try a 4-5-6 (JKL) Reset. Cheers, Joseph

Hello List, I'm afraid I'm going to have to take my apex into the shop for repair, but first I wondered if you had any suggestions. I charged it last night. It had been working perfectly fine. I went to turn it on this morning and the braille display didn't come up. I then hit the reset button. It beeped and displayed, "starting keysoft." It didn't do it's short little tune to take me back to the main menu. Even when I turned the machine off, "starting keysoft" still remained on the display. I might try charging it again tonight. I've had my apex almost 18 months and someone said that that's about how long the battery lasts, so it may be time to switch batteries. I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. No luck. Two weeks seems like an awfully long time without the apex.
