Hi, all. Has anyone gotten their mPower to work with NVDA as a braille display using either serial or bluetooth? I can't seem to get NVDA to load my bn as a display. I got it to work with JAWS after I bought a usb to serial port adapter cable and
hooked up the serial cable that came with my mPower to it, then connecting that new "usb" cord to my computer and the bn. I got it to load as both a braille display and a remote synthesizer.
I'm not so happy with the synthesizer, though. It occasionally spits out something that says "y dieresis" or what sounds like "oo" as part of the text, and for some reason it doesn't use my pronunciation dictionary. I was really hoping to
occasionally use my bn as a synthesizer and have my pronunciation fixes implemented thanks to my dictionary. Ah well. At least it switches languages. I didn't expect it to do that for me. I was pleasantly surprised.
Speaking of synthesizers, is it possible to get NVDA to see my bn as one? I
don't see it anywhere in the list. Thanks for any assistance.
