Hi,
I think you meant 4S...
The status cell indicates various phone status. When a dot is up, it means
that a particular setting is active, there are unread messages and so forth.
The settings are unread messages, landscape or portrait orientation, speech
muted, screen curtain on/off, battery is low and so forth.
There is a dedicated iPhone list out there which talks about using iPhone
from blindness perspective. It is called viphone, and a number of us are
subscribed to that list as well.
For future reference, I too have iPhone - in this case, iPhone 4S.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Status cell on BrailleNote with iOS device

Hello,

Does anyone know how the status cell works or what it does with a
BrailleNote and an iOS device? My iOS device is an iPhone 4ness in this
case. Thanks.

Ricardo
