I tried the Skweezer route and you definitely can see the
username field. I still couldn't get signed in, but that might be
because I am not remembering my password, in other words,
operator error.

I just wanted to let everyone know that it's possible to sign
into Amazon. I, like Alex, couldn't figure things out at first.
But then I tried saving the page using space with s.
Unfortunately, saving on the mobile version doesn't seem to
work, but go to the full site and hit the sign in link. (I think
it's called that.)
Once you're on the sign in page, you need to save the page with
space with s. After that, exit the web browser. The next part
is a little tricky, but very easy.
It turns out that the reason we can't see the email address
field is because the field type has been changed from a regular
text box to a type email field, which the bn obviously doesn't
recognize as a standard text box type. This must be a
non-standard field type because I've not even seen it in books on
html or JavaScript.
This is why you just saved the page. We're going to open the
htm file and edit a small section. Here is how that process
goes:
Go to the open document option in keyword. From there, select
the drive and folder you saved the sign in page to. Now, at the
filename prompt, hit space with x until you hear something like
"document type: all files". Then hit space to get into
the files list.
From there, select "amazon.com sign in.htm", or whatever you
named the saved htm file. This is really a plain ascii file, so
you'll get a review the options prompt. Say yes to that
question.
In the options list, change both the options about line or
paragraph formatting so that they say "line". After doing that,
exit the list by hitting previous or space with e.
Now that you're in the file, you need to do a search for the
text type="email". You should find that text using a forward
search. It'll be the first, and likely only result. In the
quotation marks, you need to change the word "email" to "text".
Once you've done that, hit space with e. You should get a
question about saving the document in a different format because
of changes you've made to the file. Just hit the letter s, and
the file will be saved properly in the same format it was in
originally.
Now that the change has been made, use keyweb to open the file
you just worked on. It's easiest to do this from the file
manager's directory (I think it's some kind of browse option for
apex users) choice. Locate the location where the file is as
normal. Hitting enter on the "amazon.com sign in.htm" file will
pop up the browser address field.
Hitting enter again will load the page. You should now be able
to see the email address field. After you sign into Amazon using
your modified file, both the full and mobile versions of the site
will work properly from now on.
Once you've signed in successfully, a cookie gets saved and it
won't get erased unless you clear your cookies or do a hard reset
with dots 4 5 6. If either of those two things happens, you will
need to do this procedure again to sign back into
Amazon.
This was a bit lengthy for the sake of not-so-experienced
users, and I hope it wasn't too confusing. If it was, I am

I tried the Amazon fix and it seemed to work, except that after
signing in to Google I got the message that cookie functionality
was not turned on in the web browser. Isn't keyweb cookie stuff
always turned on? At least I have never found anything about
turning it on and off. I also looked in the manual this morning.

Another method to check whether email field type was used is by
saving the
page and examining the HTML code. I hightly suspect "email" type
was used
since Google uses full Gmail address for username.
