The only way to read a truly html file that I know of is to read it with the web browser with i from the main menu.
I say a truly html file because, unless you specify otherwise, anything saved in the web browser is going to be saved as an html file. This includes web braille files, or txt files you may have opened. An alternate to saving a file in the browser is to copy the contents of the file to the clipboard and then create a new document and paste the contents of the clipboard in it. Hope this helps. Bob
