I am not sure why this was not built in to the bn to start with. I'm not
trying to be cynical this morning, but this equipment is used in situations
where people depend on the unit. Every day. How would you like to send your
car, calculator or radio back to the shop because you can't change a
battery? I can't imagine that this would be a hard job. If PDI wanted to
keep this part a money making venture then all they would have to do is
design a customize battery back and then we would have to buy it from them,
or rip it apart and put in our own batteries. I am not ablicating doing
this, but it is my opinion.

Has anyone received their gps 2.0 from PDI yet?

Hi Dan,

I know PDI has a hardware maintenance agreement for the BN. I didn't
purchase it with mine for two reasons:

1.
It is very expensive.
2.
The cost was not justifiable because Pulse Data doesn't have any sort of
advance-exchange RMA program.

Quite frankly, that's the big reason why I'm not going for the upgrade at
this point; I just can't afford to be without my BN for two weeks. I
purchased a piece of technology to depend on to get my work done, not a toy
I can do without for awhile!!!
