The BN has completely recharged now and the gage is reading accurate--glad to see that because I had never seen it inaccurate before and although not a serious problem, I didn't like to see that particular message.

In my BN 32, only three days old, when I go into options, support mode and do an Ay battery gauge says it is inaccurate. Seeing this initially, I charged the unit--had no choice as it was dead when it arrived, then I ran it down, no easy task, letting it read to me some of the time, and letting it drive us crazy for much more of the time (at a low volume) and depleted the battery again, the BN said the test was completed when I plugged it in, but, when I checked the gauge again it still reads inaccurate. I have never seen it read inaccurate on the BN 18 I have had since early 2001. Is this a quirk in Keysoft 5, build 24? I guess for now it is something I just cannot rely on. By the way, the battery low indication started at about 9-10% like it should have. Just wondering, is this a issue only I have? I have had no problem canceling the alarm or any problem at all, except sometimes when an alarm has been missed. Sometimes I have a hard time rescheduling or moving it, but that's probably because I don't have that happen enough to have the practice that I have just rescheduling appointments and alarms. I use my bn as a wake-up alarm for both me and my wife, since we get up at different times. The bn's alarm is the only one I can hear, without my hearing aids, provided it's close enough to me. I plug it in in the bedroom, therefore, it's close enough for me to hear if I'm not in too deep sleep. >----- Original Message ----- >From: Peggy Kern <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: Braillenote List <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 22:24:50 -0700 >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] BN and cell phones and the planner. >I haven't tried connecting the BN with a cell phone yet, but intend to >go in that direction in the next month or two, once my daughter is 18 >and we can get her off our cell plan and upgrade our service and >phones.
