Hi Maria, Yes the scannar'r works beautifully with the braille note. The scannar'r connects directly to the bn using the extreme left left small socket of which the name escapes me momentarily and yes you do use the active sync which lets you know you are connected by saying "mobile connected" It will go into a folder named "reader" and will come up in computer braille but you can change it afterward into keyword etc.
I have had mine for a couple of years now and have had no trouble with the translation of documents etc I can certainly recommend the Scannar'r . hope this helps. Sylvia.
