I can't imagine how you could use a scanner with a Braillenote. Yes, there were scanners and maybe still are, that can use a parallel port, but in order to operate, a scanner would need a driver in order to work with the operating system. I do not believe that Windows CE possesses native scanner drivers, or that the scanner manufacturers offer Windows CE support, but maybe I am wrong. Also, the product of simple scanning is a graphical file. You would need to run it through an OCR program in order to derive readable text. Otherwise, you would get jibberish at best. Silvia, i would like to hear more about how you get readable text with a direct interface. Which kind of scanner do you use?
