Once again, Josh, I put pen to paper on your behalf, figuratively. Briefly, we have access to as many as four foreign-language braille tables, and, by selecting a given table, the machine will say something different for any non-alphabetical sign. For instance, dots three-four-six is i n g in grade two, but the sign for plus in computer braille, and, when the table for Spanish is being used, as against the table for u s computer braille, those same dots three-four-six will produce an o acute.
None of the PDI technicians appear to be serious linguists, which probably accounts for discrepancies in accent description. Hope this makes sense to somebody. !suerte! Warm regards, Jim Taylor.
