Ann, I had somewhat the same problem embossing a file from my CF card onto
my desktop computer.  To get to the plain Braille option after you've gone
through the export to file the BT command is  is space with dots 3-4 (the st
sign.) Hope this helps.  It worked great for me once I got used to the work
around.
