Andy's suggestion of using the Perkins (or other low tech methods) is an excellent one. Shortly after I received my BrailleNote, I was tempted to get rid of my Brailler. Fortunately, I changed my mind and decided to keep it around -- just in case. I'm glad I did. My Perkins Brailler (as well as my slate and stylus) have always come to the rescue during power failures and times when my BrailleNote's battery needed to be recalibrated.
