Hello Sharon, I also use Sprint, and have a Sanyo 4700 phone. In order to connect the cell phone to a braille note via the infra red, the cell phone also has to have an infra red port, and my phone doesn't. What I did, was purchase a cable from Sprint, so I could connect the phone to the serial port on the braille note. It works just fine.
