Hi, all. Since I'm turning 50 later this year, I'm considering splurging and getting gps for my BN. I don't do a whole lot of traveling, but I'd like to familiarize myself more with other parts of my city that I don't know very well (even if I just look at those other parts virtually), as well as get familiar with other cities that we visit where we have other family members. And I think it would be fun to turn it on in the car when my husband and I go on an errand or something, just so I can have an idea of where we're going and what's around me. But since I have absolutely no knowledge of GPS, I'm wondering if these goals and ideas are things that GPS can do, or if perhaps I'd be spending a lot of money for something that wouldn't do these things.

Also, I understand that GPS comes on 7 or 8 CD's, and you put the maps of whatever state you're interested on a flash card of some sort. Does the flash card come with the GPS, or would I have to stock up on a bunch of cards if I was going to be traveling between two or three states?

Just curious to hear what you think of GPS in light of these things, so I can decide if it's worth the cost for me to get it.

Peggy
