Subject: A further question, this time regarding printers

Hi again

Sorry for two questions in quick succession, but again I would really
appreciate any help anyone can give.

We have just acquired a Cannon Lasershot printer for use with our PC. I would
also like to use it with the Braillenote if possible.

The printer is connected to our PC via the usb port, and so I was hoping to
connect it to the Braillenote via the parallel port.

I tried connecting the Braillenote to the printer, making sure that the port
was correctly set. As there are no Cannon drivers, I tried the standard
drivers, followed by most of the others. Each time, the
braillenote said the document was being printed and immediately afterwards
stated that the document had been printed. I was therefore wondering if the
problem might be that I have a broken printer cable or that none of the drivers
will work with this printer. In the latter case, is it possible to install
extra drivers or not?

If I can't use the printer with the Braillenote it does not cause me a huge
problem as I can easily transfer files to the computer via my flash card and
print them off in this way, but if anyone can offer a solution I would be
grateful as it would just simplify things slightly.

Thanks once again for any help.

Best wishes to everyone for Christmas

Donna Slater
