I went to Radio Shack with my bn adapter and they read the specs on it. They told me they had the voltage but not amperage. In other words, the adapter has a high voltage and a high amperage, whereas most adapters have different voltages including the voltage for the bn, but there amperage is lower for most commercial adapters I guess. I don't know if there are adapters available on the market that would work with the bn or if you need to write or order from Pdi only. I wanted another adapter so I could plug my bn in while using it here in our dinning room and then plugging it in for the night in our bedroom, where it serves as our alarm clock. The strip I use is placed so that the cords are not in the way, and it's a little bit of a hassle to plug and unplug, especially if the cords that are plugged in that strip happen to be tangled a little. Thus my trip to Radio Shack.
