Hi Maria and Lisa,

Even if you select to emboss to a file, the resulting document in the root
of the KeySoft Systems Disk is still called Print to File.txt. When you open
it, the BN reads it as computer Braille because of the .txt extension, but it
is written using grade 2 contractions.
When you press ENTER to open it, select to review the options by pressing
y. The first item asks if this is a Braille or text document. Type b for
Braille. When you save it to a file in the Flash Disk or cf card, select a
Braille document type to create.
I agree with Maria that if you need to print to a file because you want to
store data in files and not in databases, if you need to send the data as an
email attachment or to a printer, then select to print to a file. Only when
you are sending the data to an embosser for hardcopy Braille will I suggest
that you select to emboss to a file, because Duxbury translation looks right on
the display but not with speech and so translating this back to text for
ink-printing or emailing to a sighted person will cause problems.

I hope this helps,
Kirstyn
