Hi Paul, I don't know of a section in the manual that actually addresses the issue of connecting to a cell phone, but it really is pretty straight forward. Obviously, you need the serial cable to go between the phone and the bn. You set the modem parameter in your directory of services entry to "hayes compatible on com1" and the rest is really just like setting up any dialup connection.
If you are connecting to a gprs system, there are a couple other issues to consider but their not difficult at all and I have my Nokia 6800 working fine using at&t wireless and getting into my email. I've also used standard dialup via a cell phone before getting the newer phone, so am familiar with setting up the directory of services for that too. If I can help, just ask. It's really cool for sure! Don On Sun, 21 Dec 2003 10:16:44 -0800, Paul Henrichsen wrote: Hi, everyone. Are there any instructions for setting things up so you can browse the web using a cell phone? I have an lg 4400 with a serial port through verizon. Thanks.
