Hello Terri and others interested in PDF conversion,
The Trace Research PDF conversion site given in Terri's message has been
down for several months because of some changes and probably problems with
the upgrade to current conversion software. If you send a file to them,
you will just get back a message indicating this and directed to the Adobe
conversion site instead. The problem is that I have had mostly bad luck
in getting much anything back from the Adobe conversion site. Out of
about ten PDF files I have sent there for conversion, I have only had a
couple returned. One of them was converted after I sent it three times in
one week. If you have a Windows computer, I suggest using the Adobe
Reader software version 6.1 which can be downloaded from the site given
below. When you open a PDF file in it and there are no security blocks
enabled, it allows you to save the file to text format with no additional
plug ins needed, unlike older versions of the Acrobat reader. Also I know
the current version of K1000 and I think the latest version of Open Book
will allow you to open these PDF files and convert them to text.
The URL for the Adobe conversion software site is:
access.adobe.com/

Hi, John,
You will need to translate the PDF file to text. Email it as an attachment
to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (I hope I remembered the address correctly).
Don't put anything in the body or the subject line. You will receive an
emailof the translated document.
