Hi, I tried transferring the gps maps using activesync and the program choked on the large files even when connecting via the bn network card. As for the adaptor, I have one here and it works really well for the gps card for example. Since I use the rear slot for the network card, it really is more convenient for me to use the gps card in a pcmcia adaptor in the side slot.
If you have a pcmcia slot on your laptop, the adaptor would be the way to go in my opinion. The other alternative is to get a card reader for the pc, but since you're using a laptop I'd go for the adaptor since you could also use it for other things and they're not that expensive. This is especially true when trying to move any gps map files to the flashcard. Has anyone tried purchasing a pcmcia card adaptor for use in a laptop and transferring files that way? Have a del enspiron 400 with two pcmcia slots, one of which is occupied with my network card. Thanks for any thoughts.
