Thanks, the manual is incorrect then.
it indicates that yes, you press v from the options menu,
then you must press n to turn it on, s to select serial, i for infred,
and f to turn it off.
when I press v from the options menu, the braille note says,
visual display off.
typing serail does say, serial,
but still, the visual display mode seems to be off.
any suggestions?
