Phil, Make sure you have the PC (I presume that's what you're trying to use), software's bit rate set to 38400 and also make sure that ActiveSync isn't hogging the serial port if that's what you're trying to use. If you have pressed s for serial on the BrailleNote, the visual display is on as far as KeySoft is concerned.
