Dear List, I have spent many vexing hours trying to discover the best way to create an outline on the BN that will convert the indents to another word processor.
The sad facts are: (1) the outline style won't work automatically like the outline feature does in good old WordPerfect 5.1. It won't automatically number the paragraphs or create the indent levels. You must do that yourself. (2) Other word processors don't recognize Keysoft's style presentations codes. (3) Other word processors will convert indented tabs to regular tabs, ruining any manual indents you created. (4) Other word processors won't recognize automatic indents. So, how do you create a decent outline? My outline procedure may not be "according to Hoyle," but you can at least us it on your PC and make any necessary changes. Step 1. Press the tab key or space with s to create your first indented tab. Step 2. Type the Roman numeral and immediately press the tab key or space with s twice to create your second indented tab. If you press the tab key or space with s only once, Word, WP Duxbury or whatever word processor you use on your PC will not see the second indented tab. Step 3. Write the text which goes with your Roman numeral. When you're finished, press enter once. Step 4. Now you're ready to create the indents for the Capital letters A, B, etc. Press the tab key or space with t twice. Type the capital letter and press tab or space with e twice. Step 5. Type the text for capital A.
