I notice a slowing when the compact flash card is there; it's usually
after you have chosen the file and are waiting for it to load. I'm not
sure there's a solution. It's a trade-off: if your files are on the CF
card, they will not get lost if the motherboard crashes (I say this from
bitter experience.)

Subject: [Braillenote] Slow BrailleNote

Hi Everyone,

I don't post very often, and lately, due to a lot going on, I have had a
hard time keeping up with the list. I say this to acknowledge that this
question may already have been addressed. If so, is there a way to
access archives? Here goes!

When accessing information on my compact flash card, my BN seems to
perform sluggishly. However, accessing things from the flashdisk is
quite speedy. Is there anything I can do to correct this inconvenience
when using my compact flash card? Can I use my PC to defragment my CF
in the same way I would any other drive? Help with this would be very
much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Desi
