Ann,

You probably need to run the bnipconfig.exe program which should be on your cd.
You need to set the correct parameters on your bn to communicate with
your pc via activesync. There should be info in a readme file on this, and
maybe in the manual; not quite sure.

I've upgraded so many times over the past few years that I'm not just sure
what's in the current package shipping with the bn.

You need to run activesync using a serial connection, establish a partnership
between the bn and pc, run the bnipconfig.exe program on your pc, program
the bn with the settings bnip finds (an option in the bnipconfig menu),
disconnect the serial activesync connection, change the bn to connect to
activesync
via ethernet, and you should be off.

This is a highly summarized description of the procedure, but you should get
the idea and maybe find the appropriate readme file or manual section that
discusses this.

I'd be happy to elaborate if necessary as my summarized explanation may well be
as clear as mud.

Hi all,

Haven't been quite able to figure out how to use Activesync via
ethernet yet. I can use it via serial OK, but when I try with
ethernet, even though I can go on the web and all via my LAN here, I
can't seem to make it work with the PC that has Activesync on it.
Suggestions?

Ann P.
