Hi All,
On my BrailleNote, I have the French software, as well as English. I was
printing out a file in French, which happened to have quotes in it. I
assumed that French and English quotes in braille are the same, with opening
quote being dots 2-3-6 and closing quote being dots 3-5-6. Oddly, the
BrailleNote refused to print the file! I printed a document in English with
no problem, but this French file did not work! I tried resetting several
times, and each time, in succession, it would freeze on the "printer ready?"
prompt. Well, I should say it froze in that it wouldnt' let me exit that
prompt, and was sluggish in accepting my other keypunches. When I turned the
speech on, I heard the progress beeps, but could not exit the "printer
ready?" prompt. When i looked at the help prompt, it read "Opening file,
please wait.". I copied the file into a different folder, under a different
name, to no avail. Then I remembered the quotes. I removed them and tried to
print. Everything went fine! i guess this is some kind of kink ... any
thoughts? Am I doing the quotes correctly? I am running Keysoft version
4.02.
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Caitlin
