Hi Peggie;

Is there a Walmart near you. I got a DVD case for about $33. It hase room
for the BN, strap, ac adapter, disks, cables and much, much more. Some one
else on the list told us about the case and I went to check it out. There
are two large outside pockets and a and and sholder strap. I like it a lot.

Subject: [Braillenote] The BrailleNote speaker

Hi, all. My BrailleNote is supposed to come home, possibly as soon as
tomorrow. Besides burning Keysoft 5.0 into ROM, they replaced the speaker,
so hopefully my BN will be talking normally again. But I've been wondering
about the speaker. It's always worked perfectly, and just went out last
week with no warning. I used to use the original case with my BN, the one
they had when the BN first came out, where you held it in with a little
velcro strap and zipped it shut, so you couldn't use it when you were
standing or walking around. I got the new case (the current case) just a
month or so ago, and GPS just a couple weeks ago, and then my speaker went
out. I'm hoping it was just a "co-inky-dink" as they say, and that the
speaker went out because I've had my BN since October of 2000 and things
wear out. But since the new case and the use of GPS exposes the unit to
the elements a lot more, I'm wondering if there's any danger to the speaker
or the unit I should know about. I didn't bump it or drop it or anything,
but I'm just feeling a little nervous about keeping the speaker and the
display safe. I don't want to be without my friend for a long time. Any
thoughts, anyone?

Peggy
