Hi Listers, Okay I tried the s chord and then help and got the prompt about saving the document as a keyword file. H's what I find very perplexing. I swear I'm not making this up this message about abandoning keyword when I exit files did not show up until yesterday when all of this happened. If this message has existed all the time in Keysoft why has it not presented itself until now? Why have I been able to write in the BN for months now without any problems? It's like it just got a new command or something. I did create my notes and the paper as keyword documents originally. Maybe that was a mistake. Maybe I should have created them as asci documents? I just do not understand why the BN has to come up with new commands all of a sudden. I don't care about losing the paper I had only had a couple paragraphs written I care about losing the notes for the paper. I'm sure the BN has always had the command about saving documents hidden or something. Maybe it only appears when you are trying to write in newly created documents in Keysoft 5? I just do not ever remember having this be a problem before. Maybe before I was able to use the s and the command was never asked of me again. I guess maybe the BN forgets by default after a reset or something but if that was true it could have forgotten a long time ago. Yes if PDI would create some feature where files could be recovered somehow ! would be great or just take out this saving feature in the first place. Or make it more simple so you don't have to think when saving so you don't have to read the prompt or something. The BN seems to have no problem automatically saving information written in emails so why can't this idea be transferred to the wordprocessor? Or another idea is to have the BN ask are you sure you want to abandon keyword something about this will delete your document for those of us who just think abandon keyword means just that like leave keyword. I just keep thinking I cannot be the first person or the last person to experience this problem with the BN. Thanks for your time and your help. Lisa
