Caitlin, you did good in that explanation, but I think you got the import and export backwards. The import lets you import files from other sources, while the export lets you translate a braille file into another text format, and, for example, put that translated file on a floppy so someone else can read it on a pc and/or print it. I do this sometimes to help my wife who is recording secretary for our organization, The Ogden Association of the Blind. I will write down as best I can the events and motions of our general and board meetings and she can use them as a backup if her tape recorder fails or something happens to the recording she makes. The notes I make, of course are in keyword and in a Keyword braille format. I go in "File Manager" to the "translate file" option and goto "export document." I then goto the "export file" command and translate that braille file into rich text format so she can read it and print it out. Hope this helps all who want to know something about the "import export file" features. I have never imported a file, so I can't really tell you what happens in that and what all it can do. Hth
