Actually, I like the idea of perhaps putting something in the Options menu that 
would enable users to customize this feature.  I, like Paul, would prefer the 
"Battery Low" message to come up much later, as I am often reading when it 
comes up and find it to be a nuisance.  But I also understand the feelings of 
those who would prefer to keep it at ten percent.  Hence, an item in the 
Options menu that would allow customization seems to make perfect sense, if 
this is possible.
