Hi, Jonathan. I wanted to make sure that I was correct, so I called my
sighted wife in to watch while I booted up my computer. If I press enter at
the prompt, nothing happens at all. I have to tab twice. The first tab
brings me to the prompt to shut down the machine. The second tab brings me
to my name. So I have to press tab twice then enter to bring up my machine.
Just pressing enter does absolutely nothing on my computer.
Secondly, when I got my 5.0 cd in December, and installed keysync and
active sync off of the cd, no prompt ever appeared asking me to install dot
net framework. Both programs just installed. I had had dot net framework on
my machine in the past before reformatting and reinstalling windows, but
didn't like it since I had to tab twice and press enter each time I wanted
to bring up my machine. I don't know if it would be different if I had a
password on my computer, but I have never had one. Perhaps if I had a
password, it would behave differently.
However, Now, I just press tab twice and then enter. But if dot net
framework was required for keysync 1.0, I never had to install it. Until
this new keysync, I could turn my computer on and it would boot up straight
through the music to my desktop.

Hi Paul. Firstly, you don't need to tab twice. If you've no password, just
press ENTER at the prompt. And secondly, KeySync has always used the dot
net Framework since 1.0.
