Hi there. Yeah, I just found out when talking to Marlene Green the service contract lady, that it can be renewed by phone. You can bet I'll do that in the future. The thing is, neither my husband nor I remember getting a letter telling us it was time to renew, and we'd never gotten a receipt for the previous contract (even though Marlene says they send them out). I had to actually call to find out if the previous contract had gone into effect. So be forewarned, all. If you think you have a contract, as I did, double check it, to make sure it's there when you need it! Marlene said they send out renewal notices every year, but they're sent free matter for the blind, and we know how that goes. I really hope they develop a more reliable way of sending out notices and informing us that our contracts have been extended than what has happened in the past. But like I said before, this experience is going to make me more careful to check from my end.

Hi Peggy,
Of course, you can renew your service contract by phone. I did that a few
months ago, for my Voice Note.

I received the Braille letter, you mentioned.

I called my dealer to renew, but since I wanted to use my American Express
card, I was told to call Humanware directly.

Unless, they have changed their phone menu, they have an option for extended
warranties.

So sorry to hear that your Braille Note is feeling under the weather. Hope
you get it set to rights soon.
