Hi Michael These options only appear while you are viewing a document. From within a document, enter the options menu, and press b for braille display options. The 7th option should be "text document reading grade?" you can either press p for preferred, f for 6-dot, or h for 8-dot. This choice refers to how the braille is shown to you on the display.
Similarly, from the options menu, press k. The last option should be "use 6 or 8 dot when using computer braille?" Again, you may either press f for 6 or h for 8-dot. This refers to how you input computer braille into your unit.
