Hi, Don. I don't have an infrared port on my computer. I guess there is something on my motherboard, but I have never found how you buy that connector. I hear some users are buying something that plugs into the USB port. I think that that is what I am looking for.

Hi Paul,

If you have a infrared port on your computer, then on the braillenote press u for utilities m for miscellaneous and in that select activesync connection which is the first option. It's probably set to serial by default. Press i to change it for infrared and try connecting to the infrared port of your computer. Also, make sure the appropriate box is checked within the activesync connection settings to look for a connection on infrared port.

I don't have an infrared port on my machine so can't help you if you're currently in the same boat.

Don

Hi, Everyone.
I thought it might be good to synchronize using infrared rather than the
serial port. It would be cheaper than buying a network card, I think.
However, I can't seem to find what I need to do this. I have heard people
on this list talking about using USB to infrared drapters. Where can I find
one?
Best buy and comp usa don't seem to know what I am talking about.
I assume that active sync will work for large files if I use infra red
instead of serial.
Thanks.
