Hi Graham,

I cannot answer your question on what is burnt into rom, but if you read the
manual by index, you should return to the subject where you left off the
last time.

However, I have noticed an interesting aspect - if one searches for
something with the find command in a document which is unprotected and
locates that string, you are always returned to the location of that last
search string before protection, when you re-eenter that document after
protection; even if you have searched and found something else while the
document has already been protected.

This only changes when you again unprotect the document.

Regards
Riana

Subject: [Braillenote] returning to the user guide where I left off

Hi all.

I know this one was covered before but I never read a resolution to it. I
have had some email problems with my ISP, so maybe the message got lost.

Anyway, I upgraded to the new mother board and Keysoft version 5 recently.
My version of Keysoft 5 is the version burned into the board.

Whether I open the user guide, or open the manual as a KWB file I always
return to the beginning of the file when I go back into it, even if I rout
the cursor to the point where I am reading the KWB file when I exit the
file.

If the version is burned into the board, then I assume it can't be written
to, though oddly I can write to the keysoft drive where the files are
stored.

Does this mean that the files are not burned in ROM, and does anyone have
any idea why I can't return to my exact place in the manual?

Cheers

Graham
