Hello
I am fairly certain I will have to return my BN but I thought I'd give it a
shot to the list in case there is something I can do.
After using my BN (with KeySoft ver 5) I realised the battery needed
charging and switched off. When plugged into the mains supply, the Braille
display only showed very, very faintly - almost ghost dots. Having left the
BN on charge for some hours the problem still persits - when exercising the
display I can just feel the rows of dots or 6-dot block moving across the
display, that's all.
All other functions appear ok, although the file I was working on initially
on battery power was not saved, and on switch on I had to reset a couple of
times as the storage card was not recognized. Fortunately all my files are
still intact.
As an asside, and with apologies as I know this has been covered before,
before sending the unit away unless I get some hints from users, can someone
pass on 'correct' voltages and charge/discharge values so I can be certain
the battery hasn't gone below a useable threshold - I doubt this as the unit
works fine with speech. I've had the unit for about 18 months now.
Any help welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
